Previous clients of Baja Wine Tour chimed in to tell you more about the unique Valle de Guadalupe experience:
We did a private tour with 10 if our closest friends. We asked Tony to set something unique. He nailed it. We visited small to medium great winery and finished off with an amazing dinner that was set and waiting for us when we arrived. Tour was first class. Even the custom refreshments on board were great. We tried other tours before but nothing comes close to Baja wine tours.
I did a private tour with 2 friends and LOVED it! First the logistics: We were picked up in SD and taken back. The traffic to cross on a Saturday around 9pm wasn't bad at all. The entire tour was at our own pace. We had breakfast, visited three wineries and had dinner. All the locations were fabulous!!! The scenery was breath taking. The wineries were super chic. If you're looking for a fun, carefree wine tour adventure, Baja Wine Tours for a Cause is your best bet!!!
Baja wine tour was truly terrific! Tony was not only amazing at hoarding a progressively-buzzed group of 50 LGBT Center supporters, he was friendly and fun throughout the day. I appreciated all of his pre-tour communication and organization as well. I will definitely do another Baja wine tour and recruit some new winos for next time.
I have been to the Valley many times on my own, but also had a pleasure to experience it with Tony twice: once on a private 14 people tour for a friend's birthday, and once on one of the big tours Tony organizes. Everything is well-planned from start to finish: you don't need to worry about driving, figuring out where to eat or which wineries to go to- Tony does it all for you! He takes you to the hidden gems of the Valley I never knew existed. The best out of all is we got to meet the wine makers, learn about wine making process and had a truly fantastic gastronomic experience! Also, besides just having a good time, you have a chance to support a cause with the tour proceeds. If you are thinking about it- DO IT.
I was fortunate to experience the Baja Wine Tour for a bachelorette party which was absolutely amazing. I really didn't know what to expect as this was my first visit to Via de Guadalupe but from the minute Tony picked us up in the van from our friend's place in San Diego, we knew from the get go he was going to make the perfect guide for our crew of 10!
I'm a planner, so giving up control of my bachelorette party to the besties required a bit of an effort. But being overwhelmed by wedding planning meant that I was more than happy to just let go and trust the process. I honestly cannot imagine our trip going any better than it did, and a *huge* part was thanks to Tony from Baja Wine Tours. I could go on and on regarding all of the tiny and not so tiny details that contributed to our incredible weekend, I Yelped highlights that really stood out...I cannot express how much I recommend working with Tony and the rest of the team at Baja Wine Tours to experience Via de Guadalupe. We can't wait to go back!
The team at Baja Wine Tour does such a great job making you feel safe, comfortable and have such a great time! They organize absolutely everything, and only take you to really cool spots! I'd highly recommend their tours Not to mention, the guides were a lot of fun!
Can't recommend this tour enough! It was really well organized, beautiful wineries, great food stops, and just a blast overall!
WOW!!! For those who love wine and love to check out Wineries, I HIGHLY recommend taking a wine tour to Baja Mexico, Valle de Guadalupe with Baja Wine Tours! They offer large group wine tours as well as private tours with your own group of friends/family! My friend set-up a Private Baja Wine tour for her birthday celebration, which was my first time, ever!! I have heard sooooo many great things about the Baja Wine Valley, so I was super excited to find out we can have our own private tour!! Tony and Nick (Baja Wine Tours, owners) will pick up you and your group in San Diego, drive you to Mexico to enjoy the BEAUTIFUL view along the Baja coast, stop for some authentic Mexican brunch, walk through some beautiful wineries and taste AMAZING wines of Mexico!! You can see/feel the passion that Tony and Nick have in sharing these beautiful, cultural experiences with you. The wine and food are so delicious!
I was lucky enough to be a guest on the first ever Baja Wine Tour for a Cause and it was fantastic. The logistics were great--pick up was easy, crossing the border was a breeze (though maybe it was the first time I crossed and needed my passport!), and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Food and wine were both good--We didn't hit any of the real foodie spots down there, so the meals weren't exceptional, but all of them tasty and in really fun, cool spots. Tony is amazing to work with and you'll love hanging out with him. Highly recommended if you're trying to raise money or considering attending a fundraiser!
I've been on a few wine tours around Valle De Guadalupe before but none have compared to the hospitality and flexibility of BWT for a Cause. Tony and Nick take you on an incredible adventure exploring some of the most boutique and gorgeous wineries that VDG has to offer. Taking a van into the Valley, Nick and Tony give you a good perspective on what to expect and even pack some beverages for the group. They ensure all guests' needs are met without seeming to herd cats. (which is sometimes the case with the larger tour companies). You can really tell that Tony has built a report with the owners which leads to an even more warm and inviting atmosphere.
